Snelson Companies, Inc. employs a highly experienced management team with extensive expertise in heavy industrial construction. Areas of focus for this professional team include construction management services, pipeline construction and maintenance, large and small project work for petrochemical, gas and oil transmission and distribution companies, cogeneration, manufacturing and marine installations.



John Norton

The primary owner of Snelson Companies, Inc. John has broad experience in petrochemical management projects. Responsible for the company’s executive functions since 1990. He has an engineering degree, MBA, and over thirty years experience in industrial construction, engineering and maintenance contracting.   

Ed Shannon, P.E., CSP
Owner, President and COO, oversees all day to day operational functions of the company. He has a BA degree and is a Registered Professional Engineer and Certified Safety Professional. Ed has over thirty years of experience in industrial construction and services. He has served as President of the Distribution Contractors Association (DCA).

Brian Ganske
Owner and Executive Vice President with over thirty years experience in pipeline and utility construction and maintenance. Brian is responsible for the company’s Pipeline Division and well versed in all aspects of estimating and managing pipeline and gas distribution construction projects. He has been with Snelson since 1969 and in an executive position since 1990, he also serves on the Board of the Pipeline Contractors Association (PLCA).

Jerry Wiseman
Owner and CFO responsible for Snelson Companies accounting and financial operations. B.S. in business, with over thirty years experience in financial management of medium to large construction companies. Jerry has been with the company since 1991, he also serves as corporate treasurer.

Steve Massey
Vice President, with the company since 1980 with over three decades of experience in industrial construction estimating and project management, he has additional experience in estimating and managing compressor and metering station, pump stations, pipeline anomaly and maintenance projects.

Roger Johnson
Manager of Pipelines, B.S. in business administration, with over thirty years experience in estimating and managing pipeline construction and maintenance projects.

Jim Burns
Has been with Snelson Companies, Inc. as General Superintendent since 1997. Jim has four decades of experience installing and managing the installation of pipeline projects throughout North America. He has experience in all aspects of pipeline construction, maintenance and integrity projects.

John Fassett
Has supervised Snelson Companies environmental, health and safety program on major projects since 1998. Serves as the company’s Operators Qualification (OQ) program and training coordinator. He has over thirty years of related industrial experience, including managing, ES&H, process management and qualification, and training programs for the petrochemical and pipeline industries.

Barbara Brown, C.S.P.
Joined the company in 2002 as an Environment, Safety and Health Specialist. Holds a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry, a M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering and is a Certified Safety Professional. Over twenty years experience working with industry related environmental health and safety regulatory compliance issues. Certified forklift trainer, NCCER Administrator and Master Trainer, develops training on all areas of ES&H and performs company audits on all ES&H aspects of the business.

Mark Coker
With the company since 2001 overseeing Corporate and Project Controls. Has over twenty years experience in project start-up administration and project controls on pipeline, station, wastewater and other projects. Mark manages the IT/MIS infrastructure and is responsible for Data System Integration throughout the company.

Steve Parfomchuk
Operations Manager, has managed all operations of structural steel fabrication shop for subsidiary, SIS Northwest, Inc., since 1993. He has over 30 years experience in all aspects of estimating and managing metal fabrication projects including pipeline meter stations, pumping and distribution systems, marine, electrical substations and refineries.

Scott Wakeman
AWS Certified Welding Inspector and Fabrication Manager with over 30 years experience in fabrication and quality control. With subsidiary SIS Northwest, Inc. since 2000 overseeing all structural fabrications as well as supervising coating and sandblasting operations.
