Operator Qualification

Snelson Companies, Inc.’s Operator Qualification (OQ) Program complies with the Office of Pipeline Safety of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Qualification of Pipeline Personnel Regulation and meets 49 CFR Part 192 Subpart N and Part 195 Subpart G.  Our operators are qualified by MEA, Veriforce, NCCER, and customer specifications.

Our OQ Program is designed to ensure that all individuals working on DOT-regulated pipeline facilities are OQ-qualified to perform specific covered tasks, to document that qualification and to reduce the probability and consequences of incidents and accidents. 



Management Systems and Compliance
Quality is integrated into every aspect of Snelson Companies, Inc. operations

As part of Snelson Companies overall quality and compliance practices, we hold the following:

  • “PP” and “U” stamps from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
  • “R” stamp from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel inspectors in our pipe and vessel fabrication shop in Sedro-Woolley, Washington
  • A Quality Management System certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)

A Quality Management System certified by the American Welding Society (AWS)
